hello everyone justin here and today we, are going to draw the us marines logo, so let's go ahead and start by drawing a, circle, which will be the globe which, has the north america, and south america continents on it, so here's our globe and then let's draw, the equator a line across, and then we're gonna draw three lines, above and below, so there's one, two three and, one two, three so let's start with the central, america, area here and kind of go up, and the california side lord us down, here, east coast and, we'll just kind of roughly put it in, there, not trying to go for too much detail and, then, let's go ahead and go on to the south, american continent, [Music], again just roughly doing it there next, thing is the anchor, so the anchor's axis kind of goes in, this direction so let's go ahead and, draw that in, and up here then the upper part of the, the, anchor comes out like this and there's, like a bar that goes across so let's, go ahead and rough that in just a, rectangle, and we'll put in the final details once, we're, we have all our shapes in the right, spots, so then this part goes up a little bit, higher, like that and then actually, a little bit farther so then around here, then, is a ring so let's draw a circle, still symmetric to the center line okay, so, here's the inner part of the ring and, then let's draw the outer part, just another circle, more or less that ought to work, this actually kind of, bulbs out a little bit, expands or whatever so now, this anchor continues on down this way, so let's give it some thickness, right there and the anchor then, goes around this way, well let's see right about here so let's, go ahead and draw the outer part of the, anchor, it's going to go like this to a point, and here's the inner edge, and let's draw a point, like that and then the ends then, form an arrow so this, this inner curve this inner part of the, point kind of curves, in so then the outer part also follows, the same curve, all right so this anchor then, goes up and doesn't go, quite as far as this side, and it actually rounds off at the end, so let's give it some thickness the, arrow here, you're actually going to be able to see, the inside of the close, end of the arrow or end, you can see where this part of the, anchor inserts into the arrow, so let's draw the arrow now, so then this anchor forms a tip, a pointy end so let's do that, and we can fine tune this in a little, bit so anyway there's a rope that, wraps around this anchor there's a loop, that goes around this arm, of the, anchor so it goes like this, and goes over this piece, so then this actually kind of wraps, around this way, like this, underneath the anchor, goes over this way over the anchor, and then back, okay so let's show the point again, of the anchor right here this rope then, goes behind the globe, so let's show it going across like this, and then it goes over this handle, and then behind this ring, and then goes across and it actually, ends up forming, two pieces so there's one part that goes, like this and then another one, all right so let's go ahead and draw the, eagle so let's draw a center point first, center line and then draw a, [Music], kind of a longish egg shape, kind of narrower at the top and then, another egg shape here, at the bottom two of them for the legs, okay so the shoulders gonna be about, right here so let's go ahead and, draw a couple curves here where the, shoulder, goes down and goes to the wing so let's, go ahead and, form the wings now like so, the upper part of the wing and so the, wings actually go out, first and then curve, there's a slight curve at the end so, let's go ahead and try to, make this more or less symmetric so then, the tips curve in, and almost start becoming parallel to, this initial line, where it meets another line that then, goes, towards the body like that, okay this is going to be sort of, stylized compared to, the detail of the actual logo but, it's not going to be exact which is fine, so, let's go ahead and draw the the head the, head goes up, slightly higher than the wings, so let's go ahead and bring it up like, this, and then we'll start the curve into the, beak, out here, and it's got a little bit of a brow line, right there, and the eye would fall, just behind this break in the profile, the eagle itself is holding, a banner so it's going to come down, from the beak and then come out to the, left, a bit and up, and then just go across, like so curve this at the end here, to show that it's kind of fluttering in, the wind, and then finish it off by going out, again, so let's go ahead and put in some of the, details here, for the wings so from, about halfway up or a little less than, halfway up we're going to draw a line, pretty much parallel to this, and then curves out a little bit, so out and then, curve this way and that'll be the bottom, of this row of feathers, and then we'll have another line just, above it that's, pretty much parallel, and i'm just gonna start, drawing in some of these feathers so, here's the inside part of the wing, let's go ahead and draw that and start, drawing some feathers so, basically just these lines that curve, down and then, towards the body so this for this row of, feathers, let's go ahead and draw down, and then up down, up and we'll just continue that on, all the way to the body, and let's go ahead and do the other side, while we're at it um, so let's draw a couple feathers up here, and then start drawing these, feathers out here, okay and we'll actually continue this, going across and these are just, u-shaped lines and, the next row will do the same thing, down and then up, and this goes to the body and let's go, ahead and, do the rest of this body first and what, we're going to do is just, draw basically kind of scales, so these are just u shapes u-shaped, lines, that alternate, just like that, and we go between the legs here, so the legs are pretty much the same as, these so let's go ahead and just kind of, indicate those and we'll separate the, legs from the, body with some thicker lines which i, started right there, just so we don't lose it and let's go, ahead and draw the, final row of actually let's draw this, row, on this wing this row of feathers, okay so let's draw the final row, and i'm not really paying attention to, how, the actual logo is exactly drawn, okay and finally, on this side let's draw this row of, feathers, alright so let's go ahead and um, finish uh some of these details, let's go ahead and darken some lines and, what i'm going to do here is i'm going, to darken the all of these lines, and shade in all the ocean areas, and what i'll do go ahead and do is, actually, shade those in i'm gonna, darken these lines first, and i'm not going to shade the ocean, areas, too dark just enough to distinguish from, the, continent the land areas, so let's go ahead and put in the details, for, the rope and the anchor so, we'll work on the rope first and, the way the weave is on this is that it, goes the s, shape that formed the rope kind of go, this way, so let's just go ahead and do that and, basically it's just an, s line so you start here out, for the thickness of this braid and then, back and we'll just do that, following our outline of the rope here, don't worry about making it exact, just like that and then this one right, here, this time we're going to go this way, with our s shape, as lines, actually just like that, and just take your time drawing these, and here you can stop before you hit the, anchor and let's go ahead and make that, a little bit darker, just so we don't mess up and, draw the rope too close to it so this, line goes all the way into the, arrow and then there's a curve here, before it meets this curve so let's do, that, and this just shows that there's some, thickness to this arrowhead, okay, all right so now then there's a line, detail, line just inside, the outline so we can do that, and let's go ahead and do the braiding, on this rope here, so let's go ahead and do the outline, first of the, anchor right here and then, start putting in the, rope detail, okay and then right here same thing, we will go, this way, so these are just s-shaped lines, using our initial guide guidelines, to help us and now we can finish off, the final outline for the, anchor so as i mentioned before this, arm curves right here, so then the arrow ends, you can actually see some thickness here, so let's, put in this line here and then, do the outer outline, and then the inside line, just like here okay all right we're, getting close, let's go ahead and do the rope here, okay so now we have two pieces of rope, as i mentioned so let's start off with, the ends like this, and then start our s, lines to form the bulk of the rope, and same here curve for the end, and then just start, making a rope okay so now we can, finalize, this ring that's at the end, okay and then this bar so, let's draw this rectangle here, and there's actually a second line right, next to it, on both sides, goes behind the rope and then here's the, end, so the end, a couple lines here and then it almost, looks like, there's a nut at the end here, so i will just draw, a trapezoid here and then a couple lines, from the corners, just like that and over here, you're looking at it from the other end, so, you're not going to see this end of end, of this side, okay so now what i'm going to go ahead, and do is just, darken some of the areas here, some of the detail especially the, outline, i want the outline to kind of pop out, and, really pop out from these other lines, the detail lines, and i'll go ahead and erase some of our, other lines our initial, layout lines, let's go ahead and draw some detail here, by his um by his head, and we'll draw kind of like the scaly, pattern that we did with the body, right here at the neck, and here we'll stop right there, [Music], so before we forget let's go ahead and, do the tail, and basically it's just a triangle, here's a triangle, right here so let's draw, one of the outer feathers out here, because almost touches the globe, like that and then, another one next to it right here, and for all these feathers there's a, center, line that goes from the proximal, out so like from here here's a feather, i'm just going to draw a line in the, middle that goes maybe a third of the, way down, [Music], so just to set this off a little bit, let's shade, a little bit here and especially the, rope and what i'm going to do is i'm, just going to, shade it lightly on the lower half, or maybe lower two thirds of the rope, and same here on this left side, and here and i'm going to make this part, darker, because this rope's starting to go, inward, inside the ring and i'm going to shade, here a little bit because there's a, shadow there, and i'll just give this just a little, bit of a, tone not too much and the bottom part of, this part of the, anchor and put a, shadow there, and lower right of this ring and, over here as well so let's go ahead and, shade, uh lightly shade this anchor, just to give it some form, and this is gonna be in the back a, little bit, and i'm gonna go ahead and put a shadow, right underneath the rope right there, and add some shadow on the bottom part, of the, anchor and right here again the bottom, part of this arrow, and let's go ahead and shade this, rope so i'm going to start here on the, the right side, and shadow from the globe, and then i'm going to shift it over to, the left side here, and then again to the right so again, this is, like kind of sweeping underneath the, anchor so i'm going to make it a little, bit darker right there, start shading in the, left side of the rope and then make it, dark here again because it's going, underneath, this particular arm of the rope, all right so bottom right of this, and then again a shadow, to show that it's going behind and then, the lower right, of the rope right there okay, so just to show that this globe is, roundish, i'm gonna draw another circle just, inside here but touching the upper left, and this will be our shadow, line so then what we do, is draw more shading, following that shadow line right here, but i'll go ahead and just keep the, south american continent, uh plain, for now, and just shade it like that okay, and that just kind of gives it more, depth, more shape and maybe we just start, making this, edge a little bit darker not too much, maybe a little bit of cross hatching, different direction, and now i'm going to go ahead and, continue the shadow, but very lightly how along this, continent just like that, so just so the, eagle isn't so plain i'm gonna just, shade certain areas like the back, feathers here the tail because it's in, the back, maybe shade this part of his body to, show that the, legs are up front, and then just a little bit on the lower, right, and bottom of the legs and then the, right side of the, body and underneath this part of the, wing, i'll keep this light but i'll start, shading, right here for the wing, and maybe a little bit closer to the, body, and just some of this subtle shading is, just going to, help the drawing pop out a little bit, more, as opposed to being just purely a, graphic, line drawing and maybe just, a touch of shading here at the ends of, the, wings wing feathers, and i think that should pretty much do, it let's, add just a little bit of shadow right, here also, and again that just makes everything, look more three-dimensional, and that
